QACE Challenges

This year’s Entrepreneurship Challenge will be a spin off-off of the popular show, Dragon’s Den! With eight judges all with varying experience in entrepreneurship, you can bet that these dragons know the ins-and-outs of starting your own business, and can offer unparalleled feedback to everyone’s pitches!

Delegates will be split up into teams of five. Teams will have an hour and a half to come up with an innovative business idea that solves a relevant problem. Each team will have five minutes to present, and a three minute Q&A period. The structure of the pitch is very open-ended because we want to allow you guys to be able to fully showcase your creative ideas and to pitch whatever business ideas you may have. That being said, your pitch can be as formal or informal as you want and the problem you choose to solve can be as big or as small as you want, and it is not required to have a supplementary PowerPoint presentation.

After the preliminary rounds, the top two teams will be announced and will pitch in front of all judges and delegates. Where one team will emerge victorious. We hope you’re excited for the competition, and can’t wait to hear your pitches!
The largest entrepreneurial simulation in the country, wherein delegates get to play the role of VC firms, Companies, and Employees, each negotiating with re- spective parties to attain the best deal. The simulation tracks preferences, in- dustries, benefits, equity, and cash, amongst a dozen other variables to pro- vide delegates with a competition wherein every risk should be calculated, every negotiation substantiated, and every decision important, while leaving room for intuition and judgement as reflective of the real entrepreneurial landscape.
